Pinterest Conversions API, sent from the server
Whence sends your sales and checkout steps to Pinterest from the server, so Pinterest sees the orders its ads bring when the tag misses them.
What Whence sends
Each step leaves the server as it happens, under the name Pinterest expects. You choose the steps in Whence.

Counted once
The Pinterest tag and the Conversions API share the same event ID, so Pinterest counts each event once.
Whence can also run the Pinterest pixel in your store’s browser, with the same event ID as the server event.
Match quality, in plain sight
For each Pinterest destination, Whence shows the share of events that carried each customer detail over the last seven days, so you can see what helps Pinterest recognize your buyers.
Set it up
Install Whence on your store
The Shopify app turns on in one click. Elsewhere, the WordPress plugin or one script.
Let Whence find your pinterest tag ID
Whence reads your store’s home page and fills in the ID of the Pinterest pixel already installed. Otherwise: Only if Whence runs your Pinterest tag in the browser: Ads Manager > Conversions > Tag manager, the number of your tag.
Paste your ad account ID
Pinterest Ads Manager > Ad account overview: the number next to your ad account name (it is also shown with the token you generate).
Paste your conversion access token
Ads Manager > Ad account overview > Conversions > Conversions API > Set up API > Conversion access token > Generate new token.
Send a test
Pinterest checks a test event without recording it, and Whence shows what it answered.
