Advertising
The platform tells you it worked. Whence shows you what happened.
Ad platforms are graded on their own homework. Connect your accounts and put their numbers next to the recording of what the click actually did once it reached your store.
Conversion tracking
Your sales, sent back from the server
Ad platforms learn from the sales they are told about. Whence reports each one from the server, counted once with the browser pixel, so ad blockers and closed tabs stop hiding orders.
- The steps you choose, from product view to purchase, with the details that help each platform recognize the buyer.
- A test event in one click, with the platform’s answer shown beside it.
- Only with marketing consent. Whence reads the consent banner you already use.
Authorize once, then forget about it
Google Ads connects through Google's own authorization screen. No password is ever handed over, and expiring access is renewed in the background before it lapses.
- Renewed automatically. A worker refreshes access ten minutes before it expires, so nothing breaks quietly over a weekend.
- Failure is visible. When a connection genuinely lapses it is marked as expired with the reason, rather than returning empty charts.
- Revoke from either side: here, or from the platform itself.
Connected today: Google Ads and GA4
The others are recognized by their click identifier today. Connecting their ad accounts is on the way.
The half of the funnel the platform cannot see
A platform reports the click. It cannot report the hesitation on the size chart, the failed payment step, or the second visit three days later.
- Paid clicks identified independently of the platform's own reporting, from the click identifier on the link.
- Watch the expensive ones. Open the sessions behind a campaign and see what the money bought.
- Signals attach to campaigns. A campaign whose visitors keep abandoning at checkout has a problem the platform will never tell you about.
A paid visit, end to end
- Source Google Ads
- Click ID gclid
- Landing /products/…
- Pages 6
- Added to cart yes
- Reached checkout yes
- Signal checkout abandon
- Order none
Access to your ad accounts, handled properly
Connecting an ad account means trusting us with access to it. Here is what that trust rests on.
- Credentials encrypted at rest with authenticated encryption, and never written to a log.
- Reporting, and conversions if you ask. Whence reads spend and, when you turn it on, sends your orders as conversions. It never changes your budgets, your bids or your campaigns.
- Every action recorded in an audit log tied to the person who took it.
- Isolation enforced in the database, not in application code, so one account can never read another's.
Handling
- Storage encrypted
- Scope reporting, conversions
- Renewal automatic
- Audit log every action
- Isolation row level
In the product
The campaign, and what its clicks actually did
Spend on the left, behavior on the right. When a campaign underperforms, the reason is usually on the same line.

What advertising here does not do
- Whence does not manage your campaigns. No bidding, no budget changes, no automated rules. It reads, it does not act.
- Spend figures come from the platform, with the platform's own delays and its own currency. We do not restate them.
- No cross-device stitching. A visitor who clicks on a phone and buys on a laptop is two visitors here, and we would rather say so than invent a join.
